When we inquired about what sets Godelive apart as such an exceptional caregiver, she explained that it's "because I take good care of the clients and make them happy." This heartfelt yet meaningful response showcases her authentic dedication to caring for seniors throughout The Villages.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Godelive recognizes the significance of maintaining her personal wellness and takes satisfaction in "doing something good for myself." What Godelive considers most unique about herself is that she is "respectful, patient and speaks correctly with the client." These essential characteristics are precisely what we treasure in our caregivers who serve clients that genuinely become like extended family to us.
Godelive looks back warmly on one of her most impactful previous roles: "I worked at home care for four years to take care of persons with mental disability problems. This job was very difficult because sometimes, the client refused medication, showers and lunch. Sometimes the client became aggressive. I was patient with them about their mental disorder. I loved them and made them happy, and then the client changed things." This demanding yet fulfilling experience showcases her remarkable patience and empathy.
